If you'd like to become a dance teacher, or wish to gain professional degree certification as a dance educator or judge, contact Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Fellow and Examiner Phillip Stephens via email@example.com. The ISTD was founded in London, England, in 1904 and encompasses a wide range of dance styles. In the more than 100 years of its existence, the ISTD has become known as the World's Leading Dance Examinations Board.
After 29 years of owning and operating Houston's largest Ballroom, Latin, Country-Western and "Club" dance studio, Phillip Stephens and Michael Schedler sold The Dance Place to Guoyong Zhang and his wife, Huan Huan She. Phillip and Michael will continue teaching in the beautiful facilities they built and nourished over the years, but feel that it is time they move forward into another phase of their dance careers.
Your Wedding Dance.
Your wedding represents a
tremendously important moment in your life. You are formally and
publicly committing to a relationship that has existed in your
hearts for some time. You are stating, before family and
friends, that THIS person is the most special person in the
whole wide world, and that "We are going to spend the rest of
our lives cherishing our existence together."
In preparing for your wedding, you think about who you'll invite to witness and share your everlasting commitment. You select or create invitations. You make a choice about where the ceremony will take place, what shoes you'll wear, the jewelry you'll wear, how your hair will be styled, what dress or suit you'll wear and where the reception will be held. You choose a menu. You choose a videographer to memorialize the entire occasion. You choose your favorite song...
Ulp! What about your FIRST DANCE?!?!
That First Dance will be remembered for a LOOONG time. With all the camera phones out there, it might even show up on Facebook or YouTube! Shouldn't you put as much thought into that First Dance as you put into all your other wedding plans? At The Place 2 Dance, we think the answer should be a resounding YES!
The Place 2 Dance provides complete services in this regard. We will choreograph your First Dance to showcase your talent. This will include highlighting the lyrics of your favorite song and incorporating your personalities into the process. We will teach that choreography to you. Once we have all the final details and nuances worked out, we will film the choreography for you so that you can refer to it and practice it at any time, and so that you have another lasting memory for the future of the instructor who helped make your special day a little extra special.
We offer individual lessons for $90 per each 45-minute session. However, we cannot provide our full line of services in just one lesson. We cannot adequately choreograph your routine or do any filming in just 1 or 2 lessons. We certainly can help you learn some dance fundamentals and a few steps in a short time, but we know you'll be better served by devoting more time to learning a truly special First Dance. So we have lesson packages available for you. You can purchase a package of five (5) 45-minute lessons for $400 or - for best results - purchase a set of 10 lessons for $750. For details, or to arrange your first appointment, contact Michael at 832-721-3968 or email him via firstname.lastname@example.org.
While our results are fantastic, we don't perform miracles - you should start working on your First Dance AT LEAST 3 months before the ceremony.
